Joaquín is responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities in Spain, as well as monitoring local portfolio companies.
With over 25 years of experience advising corporates and financial sponsors on M&A and debt transactions, he has demonstrated strong execution capabilities and a proven expertise in designing bespoke capital structures.
He was previously Managing Director of DC Advisory in Madrid, where he led the Capital Solutions team. Prior to that, he was one of the founding partners of Montalban Capital, an independent advisory firm sold to DC Advisory in 2019, as well as Managing Director at Atlas Capital and Director within Banesto’s Corporate Finance team.
He holds a degree in Business and Economics from CUNEF, a degree in Law from UNED, and an MBA from INSEAD.
