Gonzalo Boada<\/strong> joins Andera Partners as a Director within the Andera MidCap team, which invests in medium-sized companies (with revenue between \u20ac50 and \u20ac500 million) to accelerate their change of scale and their internationalization. The main sectors in which Andera MidCap invests include business services, technology, healthcare, and niche industries.<\/p>\n

Based in Paris, Andera Partners has established itself for over 20 years as one of Europe\u2019s leading private capital investment firms. This new office in Madrid is part of Andera Partners\u2019 international expansion strategy, following the opening of our offices in Antwerp in 2019, Munich in 2021, and Milan in 2022.<\/p>\n

The opening of the Madrid office will strengthen Andera\u2019s capabilities in Spain, where 20 investments (including add-ons) have already been completed. In 2015, Andera Life Sciences, its venture capital team specializing in biotechnology and medical devices, invested in Sanifit, a company focused on vascular calcification disorders, which was later sold to Vifor Pharma, and in MedLumics, a company dedicated to cardiac devices, in 2017. Andera Infra, the firm\u2019s green infrastructure team, acquired in 2023 a minority stake in Ingenostrum, a company focused on renewable energy and data center development. In October 2024, Andera\u2019s MidCap team, supporting growth company shareholder managers, announced the acquisition of temporary staffing firm Meditempus by Mistertemp, and the mezzanine debt fund Andera Acto supported Group ADF in its acquisition of Grupo DGH, a provider of engineering and industrial maintenance services.<\/p>\n

Gonzalo Boada, formerly with H.I.G. Capital, has extensive experience in the private equity sector, having worked on numerous transactions, including the sale of Valencia-based bathroom furniture company Royo to the Roca Group and the carve-out of STH Group, a division of faucets and related products, from Dutch-listed Aalberts. He holds an MBA from Harvard University and dual degrees in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). He began his career at the Boston Consulting Group after a stint as an entrepreneur leading ePark.<\/p>\n
